I say "smoke free home" when I'm listing anything made of paper or something with a fabric part. Personally, most other pets like birds or fish don't interact enough to interest me. There are actually some of us who are allergic to cat dander or dog fur. I've used "From a home with pets - if this is important to you, I ask that you not purchase".

I buy pottery 99% of the time and I can smell every time I buy from a smoker as it makes bubblewrap stink and sometimes the pottery too. I had to spend close to half an hour carefully removing nicotine from a large pottery item that I bought which was coated in deep brown when it should have been bright pink...YUK. I am tempted to do my next round of eBay auctions featuring various pets on the items....frog, snake, stick insect..... Maybe even the dog modelling some sunglasses or something. Prohibiting smoking indoors is the only way to eliminate secondhand smoke from the indoor environment. Ventilation and filtration techniques can reduce, but not eliminate, secondhand smoke.

Cover has no visible wear, and the dust jacket is included for hard covers. You mean like nicotene, tar, acetone and God knows what else that's in cigarettes...Some people have allergies to certain ingredients in cigarettes.. If you're selling books you should be informing everyone if your house is smoke free as the smell is quite a bit harder to get out of books than clothes..
Excellent condition--complete--no marks, tears, or turned down pages--from smoke and pet-free home. I do have dogs and cats but they do not live IN my house. They have their own nice sheltered area to live in. I went to a persons home once and they had dog, cat, snake, guinea pig... They could not smell it and the house was very clean... The more animals you have the more smells you will have..
